6th Grade - Mrs. Stefanie Lorenzen 402-715-8508

My name is Stefanie Lorenzen and this is my 16th year at Russell Middle School as a School Counselor. Before I came to RMS, I was a Social Studies teacher at Millard West High School for 5 years.

I enjoy being involved in our school. I coach Cross Country and am also a Student Leadership Team, Teammates, and Hope Squad facilitator, to name a few of my other responsibilities.

Middle School is an exciting, challenging, and memorable time in your life. The best part is that every day YOU get to decide what kind of day it will be... so make it a good day. And remember, life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change! If you want something, make it happen!

7th Grade - Mr. Tim Lucks 402-715-8509

My name is Tim Lucks. This is my 5th year as a counselor for Russell Middle School, but my 17th year in education.

I am the high jump coach for the Track team and Boys JV Basketball coach.

When I am not at school, I live a busy lifestyle keeping up with my 3 kids under 10 years old. I enjoy spending time with my wife traveling, going to concerts and exploring new restaurants. In my free time I enjoy working out, playing basketball and family time watching movies and playing games and coaching kids teams.

I am excited to work with all of the students and families at Russell and look forward to meeting all of you. Please visit the Russell counseling parent lounge to help assist you and your child. Also, please feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.

8th Grade - Mrs. Cari Hagemoser 402-715-8510

Hi there! I'm Cari Hagemoser and am excited to begin my 9th year as a school counselor and my 19th year in education. I love working with middle schoolers—it’s such an important time full of growth, change, and discovery. I’m here to support students through all of it!

In addition to counseling, I help with the Cooking Club, planning school socials, and working closely with our amazing team of educators. You’ll often see me around the building—in the halls, at lunch, and even popping into classrooms. I'm always happy to chat or lend a hand!

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, cheering on the Huskers, exploring the outdoors, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

I'm really looking forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to see what it brings for all of us!

School Social Worker - Nicole Nelson 402-715-8511

My name is Nicole Nelson and this is my fourth year at Russell Middle School as the School Social Worker. I am also a long-distance track coach! I am so excited for this upcoming school year.

When I am not at school, I love to live an active lifestyle. I enjoy running, yoga, cycling and walking! I am a big reader and love mysteries and thrillers! When I am not reading or working out, I like to bake, spend time with my boyfriend and our mini–Australian Shepherd Millie or friends and family!

As a School Social Worker, I am here to partner with students, families and staff to provide support to optimize the student’s learning environment and reach their goals. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, needs or concerns that arise throughout the school year!
